Dr. Rick Jones is an American actor most famous for his role as Dr. Rick Jones on the popular medical drama series ER. He was born in Los Angeles, California on August 8, 1965 and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

Dr. Jones began pursuing his acting career in college at the University of California, Los Angeles. His first role was on the hit show ER in 1994, where he played the role of an emergency room physician. Dr. Jones quickly became a fan favorite for his performance and remained a regular on the show for the next eleven years. During his time on the show, he was nominated for several awards including three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.

Outside of ER, Dr. Jones has appeared in several films and television shows. He can be seen in the films The Shawshank Redemption, What Dreams May Come, and The Patriot. On the small screen, he has appeared in shows such as The West Wing, Boston Legal, and The Practice.
