Donald Trump is an American business magnate, investor, television personality, and politician who currently serves as the 45th President of the United States. Born and raised in Queens, New York City, he received an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.

Trump began his career in real estate development, eventually becoming one of the most successful developers in the country. He was also the host of the popular reality television show, The Apprentice, from 2004 to 2015. In 2016, Trump won the Republican nomination for president and went on to defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton in the general election. He was sworn into office on January 20, 2017.

Trump has been a controversial figure throughout his career, with his business dealings and personal behavior often coming under scrutiny. He has been accused of multiple alleged sexual misconduct cases and has caused controversy with his rhetoric on immigration, climate change, and other topics.

Trump is the fourth of five children born to Fred and Mary Trump. He attended the Kew-Forest School and later transferred to the New York Military Academy. He graduated in 1964 and then attended Fordham University for two years before transferring to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduating in 1968 with a degree in economics.

After college, Trump returned to New York and began working for his father's real estate company, Elizabeth Trump & Son. He quickly rose through the ranks and eventually took over the company, renaming it The Trump Organization. Under his leadership, the company grew to become one of the most successful real estate developers in the country.

In addition to his business dealings, Trump has been involved in the entertainment industry. From 2004 to 2015, he was the host and executive producer of the popular reality television show The Apprentice, which earned him two Emmy nominations. He also hosted the Miss Universe pageant for a number of years.

Trump declared his candidacy for president in June 2015. After a contentious primary season, he won the Republican nomination and went on to face off against Democrat Hillary Clinton in the general election. On November 8, 2016, Trump was elected the 45th President of the United States.
