Don Pettit is an American actor best known for his roles in comedies and television series. He was born on June 11, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Mary and Michael Pettit.

Don started his acting career in the late 1970s, appearing in several stage productions and small independent films. He found his first major success when he was cast as a regular on the popular sitcom “Cheers” in 1984. On the show, he played the role of Larry, a dim-witted bartender who often provided comic relief. He stayed on the show for four seasons, becoming a fan favorite and helping to solidify the show’s success.

After “Cheers” ended, Don continued to find success in television, appearing in shows like “Friends”, “Frasier”, and “Will & Grace”. In addition to television, Don also appeared in several films, including “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective”, “The Mask”, and “The Invention of Lying”.

In addition to his acting career, Don has also been involved with various charitable organizations. He has served on the board of directors for the United Way of Los Angeles, and he has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
