Dominique Johnson is an American actor and model known for his roles in the films High School Musical 3: Senior Year, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and The Hangover Part III.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Johnson attended the prestigious Stella Adler Academy of Acting. While there, he began to hone his craft, taking classes in acting, voice, and movement. After graduating, he began to pursue a career in modeling and acting, appearing in various commercials and music videos.
In 2008, Johnson was cast in the popular Disney movie, High School Musical 3: Senior Year. He played the role of Lightning, a basketball player and the love interest of Sharpay Evans, played by Ashley Tisdale. The film was a box office success and launched Johnson’s acting career.
In 2009, Johnson appeared alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt in the horror-thriller I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. He played the role of Nate, the boyfriend of one of the main characters, Julie James, played by Hewitt. The film was moderately successful at the box office.
In 2013, Johnson had a small role in the popular comedy The Hangover Part III, appearing alongside Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms. He played the role of a security guard at a Las Vegas casino.
In addition to his acting career, Johnson has also modeled for several international publications, including GQ, Esquire, and Vogue. He has also walked the runway for several high-end fashion designers, including Versace, Calvin Klein, and Givenchy.
Today, Johnson continues to pursue his acting and modeling careers. He continues to appear in commercials and music videos, as well as on the runway. He remains an active member of the Los Angeles theater community, and has recently appeared in plays at The Geffen Playhouse and The Mark Taper Forum.
