Dianna de la Garza is an American entrepreneur, author, and public speaker. She is best known as the mother of pop star Demi Lovato.

De la Garza was born in 1962 in Oklahoma, and grew up in Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After college, she worked in marketing and public relations for various companies.

In 1989, De la Garza married Patrick Lovato. Together they had three children: Dallas, Demi, and Madison. In 2002, De la Garza and her husband separated. She then moved to Los Angeles to be closer to her children and to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
