Dennis Tinerino is an American actor and filmmaker best known for his roles in television series like “The Sopranos”, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Law & Order”, “Third Watch”, “NYPD Blue” and “CSI: Miami”.

Tinerino was born on April 5, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in a strict Italian-American household, with his parents being first generation Italian-Americans. After high school, he attended and graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York City. He then went on to pursue a career in acting.

Tinerino’s first major role came in 1997 when he was cast as Detective Tony Calabrese in the popular police drama “NYPD Blue”. He starred in the series for three years, until 2000. He then went on to appear in several other television shows, including “Law & Order”, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Third Watch”, “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY”. He also had a recurring role in the critically acclaimed HBO series “The Sopranos”, playing the role of mobster Pat Blundetto.

In addition to his television roles, Tinerino has also appeared in several films, including “The Cooler”, “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou”, “Kill the Irishman”, “Goodfellas” and “Great Expectations”. He has also directed several short films, including “The Troubleshooter”, “The Night Watchman” and “River of Dreams”.

Tinerino is also an accomplished musician, playing several instruments including guitar, bass, drums and piano. He has released two solo albums, “The Troubleshooter” in 2005 and “The Night Watchman” in 2008. He has also been featured on several albums by other artists, including “The Cooler” soundtrack and the “Kill the Irishman” soundtrack.
