Denice Duval is an American actress, best known for her role as Detective Alex Cahill in the hit TV series Walker, Texas Ranger. She was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in a family of five, with two sisters and one brother.

Duval began her acting career as a child in local theater productions. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in theater and studied under the legendary director, Robert Benton. After college, Duval moved to Los Angeles, where she quickly became an in-demand actress in television and feature films.

Duval’s breakout role came in 1993, when she was cast as Detective Alex Cahill in Walker, Texas Ranger. She starred opposite Chuck Norris as one of his tough-as-nails partners. During her time on the show, she was nominated for multiple awards, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

In addition to her work on Walker, Texas Ranger, Duval has appeared in numerous other films and television shows. She has had guest appearances on shows like NYPD Blue, Beverly Hills 90210, and Criminal Minds. She also co-starred in films such as Diggity, The Big Green, and The Cowboy Way.

Duval is also an accomplished voice actress. She has provided the voice for characters in multiple animated series, including The Wild Thornberrys and the Disney show Recess.

Offscreen, Denice Duval is an active philanthropist and a passionate advocate for animal rights. She has supported numerous animal welfare organizations, including the ASPCA.
