Deborah Kaufmann is an American actress, best known for her roles in the television series ‘ER’, ‘24’, and ‘The West Wing’. Born in New York City in 1972, Kaufmann was raised in the Upper West Side, the daughter of a prominent political scientist and a stay-at-home mom. She attended the prestigious Dalton School and was an active member in the school theater and debate teams.

Kaufmann attended the Yale School of Drama, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in 1999. After graduating, she quickly landed roles in TV shows like ‘ER’, ‘24’, and ‘The West Wing’. She also appeared in the films ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’ and ‘The Producers’. In 2004, Kaufmann began her own production company, Kaufmann Productions, which produces theatre, film, and television.

Kaufmann has also worked in numerous off-Broadway productions and New York City theater companies. Her work includes productions at the Atlantic Theater Company, Second Stage, The Public Theater, and Ars Nova. She has also appeared in several off-Broadway productions such as ‘The Seagull’, ‘The Little Foxes’, and ‘The Skin of Our Teeth’.

Kaufmann has appeared in a number of television shows and films, including ‘The Good Wife’, ‘The Blacklist’, ‘Elementary’, ‘Gotham’, ‘Dexter’, ‘House of Cards’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘The Office’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘The Affair’, ‘The Americans’, ‘Mad Men’, and ‘Veep’. She also appeared in the television movie ‘The Wrong Man’.
