David Mattey is an American actor, director, producer, and writer best known for his roles in horror and science fiction films. Born on February 28, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas, he began his acting career in the late 1980s and has since appeared in numerous films and television shows.

Mattey's first major role was as the villainous henchman, Doctor B, in the 1992 science fiction film The Lawnmower Man. He has since gone on to appear in a number of other films, including the horror films Leprechaun 3 (1995) and Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996), the action films Fire Down Below (1997) and Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002), and the comedy National Lampoon’s Van Wilder (2002).

In 2003, Mattey wrote, directed, and produced the horror film The Devil's Elixir, which he also starred in. He has since gone on to direct a number of other films, including the horror film Witchtrap (2008), the action-thriller The Rig (2010), and the science fiction film The Portal (2011).

He has also made numerous television appearances, including guest roles on shows such as Law & Order, NCIS, CSI: Miami, and The X-Files. He also had recurring roles on the long-running sitcoms Everybody Loves Raymond and Arrested Development.

In addition to acting, Mattey has also done voice-over work for several video games, including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004) and Saints Row (2006). He is also a qualified stunt performer and has done stunt work on numerous films and television shows.

Mattey is married to actress and dancer, Julia Jones. The couple have two daughters together, Jada and Lola. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he continues to work in the entertainment industry.
