David Edwards is an American actor, best known for his roles in the television series “The West Wing” and “ER”. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on April 29, 1975, and raised in the small town of Celina, Texas.

Edwards began his career in the early 1990s, appearing in a number of television commercials and small roles in television series. He made his feature film debut in 1995's “The Usual Suspects”, and went on to appear in a number of movies, including “A Time to Kill”, “The Thin Red Line”, and “The Passion of the Christ”. He also had recurring roles on the sitcoms “Friends” and “Felicity”.

In 1999, Edwards landed his breakthrough role on the long-running NBC drama “ER”, where he portrayed Dr. Gregory Pratt for four seasons. After his departure from “ER”, Edwards joined the cast of the popular political drama “The West Wing”, where he played White House Communications Director Will Bailey for five seasons.

In recent years, Edwards has appeared in a number of television movies, such as “The Good Mother” and “The Beach Boys: An American Family”. He has also continued to make appearances in television series, most notably in “Grey's Anatomy” and “House”.

In addition to his acting career, Edwards is also an accomplished musician. He has released two albums, “Songs from the Heartland” and “Sambas and Ballads”, and has performed with a number of bands and orchestras.
