David Duke

David Duke is an American white supremacist and former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1950 and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Duke attended Louisiana State University, where he earned a degree in history. He became involved in the white supremacist movement and joined the KKK in 1967. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Grand Wizard in 1974. During this period, he founded the White Youth Alliance, which was a youth branch of the KKK. He was also involved in several political campaigns, including a failed run for the US Senate in 1990 and a successful bid for the Louisiana House of Representatives in 1989.

Duke left the KKK in 1980 and founded the National Association for the Advancement of White People. He was also a vocal proponent of the Anti-Defamation League's policy of multiculturalism. In 2008, he announced his candidacy for the US presidency and became the first white supremacist to run for the office.

In recent years, Duke has focused on speaking engagements and promoting his books. He has also been active in the alt-right movement. In 2016, he endorsed Donald Trump for US president and has actively campaigned for him since then.

David Duke is one of the most prominent figures in the white supremacist movement. His views have been widely denounced by mainstream politicians and organizations. Despite his reputation, Duke remains a powerful voice in the white supremacist community.
