David Bernal (born December 31, 1970) is a Mexican-American actor, producer, and philanthropist. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Alamo (2004), The Book of Life (2014), and The 33 (2015). He has also appeared in numerous television series, including the Netflix original series Narcos and Narcos: Mexico.

Bernal was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and moved to the United States at the age of nine. In his early years, he was a member of the theater company, Teatro Campesino, in San Juan Bautista, California. After graduating high school, he attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he received a degree in theater arts.

Following his graduation, Bernal moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in film and television. His first major role came in 2004, when he was cast as a Mexican soldier in the feature film The Alamo. He then went on to appear in a number of films and television series, including The Book of Life, Shark Tale, and the Netflix original series Narcos and Narcos: Mexico.

In addition to his acting career, Bernal is a philanthropist who has devoted much of his time and energy to charitable causes. He created the David Bernal Foundation to support a variety of organizations, including UNICEF and the World Wildlife Fund.
