David Axelrod is an American actor best known for his roles in films such as The Firm, The Mask, and The Cable Guy. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 28, 1950, Axelrod began his career on the stage. He first appeared on Broadway in the musical Grease in 1974 and went on to appear in many other stage productions, including The Magic Show, The Robber Bridegroom, and Sweeney Todd.

After appearing in several television commercials, Axelrod made his movie debut in 1984's The Mask. He then went on to star in the 1986 hit The Firm, playing the role of attorney Mitch McDeere. The success of The Firm led to Axelrod appearing in numerous other films, including The Cable Guy, The People vs. Larry Flynt, The Sweetest Thing, and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.

Axelrod is also well-known for his voice acting work, having voiced characters in the animated series Family Guy and King of the Hill. He has also provided voiceovers for films such as The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas and Big Daddy.

In addition to his on-screen work, Axelrod is also an accomplished singer. He has appeared in several stage musicals, such as The Music Man and Big River, and has sung with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also released two solo albums, Unmasked and Songs of Love and Loss.
