Daryl Braithwaite (born 11 January 1949) is an Australian singer. He was a lead vocalist of the band Sherbet, and returned to solo performing in the late 1980s. His most popular albums include Edge (1988), Rise (1990) and Out on the Edge (1993). His most popular singles include "You're My World" (1974), "One Summer" (1989) and "The Horses" (1990).

Born in Melbourne, Daryl Braithwaite grew up listening to The Beatles, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones. At the age of 17, he joined the band Sherbet and began his career as a singer. The band released their first single "Can You Feel It Baby" in 1971, and their debut album Time Change...A Natural Progression in 1972. During the 1970s, the band had a string of successful singles and albums, and Braithwaite became the lead singer of the band.

In 1982, Braithwaite left Sherbet to pursue a solo career. His debut solo album, Edge, was released in 1988 and was a huge success, reaching the top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album included the top 10 single, "One Summer", which was a hit around the world. He followed this success with the album Rise in 1990, which featured the single "The Horses", which reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart. The album also reached number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, spending eight weeks at the top spot.

He released four more albums throughout the 1990s, which all reached the top 10 on the ARIA Albums Chart. He also began appearing regularly on television shows such as The Midday Show and Hey Hey It's Saturday. In 2003, he released his first live album, Unplugged, and in 2004, he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Daryl Braithwaite continues to tour Australia and New Zealand, performing his classic hits. He has also been featured in a variety of tribute albums, including a tribute album for John Lennon in 2006. He has released a total of 14 studio albums throughout his career, and has sold over one million albums in Australia.
