Danny Way (born April 15, 1974) is a legendary professional skateboarder from Vista, California. Born in Portland, Oregon, Danny moved to Southern California as a child and began skateboarding at the age of 10. He quickly gained recognition for his aggressive style of skateboarding and by 1991, he was already being sponsored by major skateboard companies and appearing in skateboard videos.

At age 16, Danny set the world record for highest aerial ever accomplished on a skateboard, with a jump of over 25 feet off a ramp. His skill and determination earned him the respect of the skateboarding community and set him apart from his peers.

In 1995, Danny founded the DC Shoes skateboarding team and became the first professional skateboarder to be sponsored by a shoe company. He went on to design and produce several successful shoes and apparel lines for DC, which helped to propel the brand into the mainstream. At the same time, Danny was pushing the boundaries of skateboarding by performing high-risk stunts and setting new world records. In 1997, he set the world record for highest air off a quarter pipe, with a jump of over 9 feet.

In 2004, Danny achieved his lifelong ambition by successfully skateboarding across the Great Wall of China. The feat was documented in the film Waiting for Lightning, which became an international phenomenon and earned Danny an X-Games gold medal.

Danny has continued to push skateboarding forward to this day. He has appeared in numerous films and television shows, as well as launching his own skateboard company, Plan B Skateboards. He is also an active philanthropist and has worked with organizations such as the Tony Hawk Foundation to help build skateparks in low-income neighborhoods and support youth skateboarding programs.
