Dana Delany is an Emmy Award-winning American actress and producer. She is best known for her roles in the television series China Beach, Desperate Housewives, and Body of Proof.

Delany was born in New York City on March 13, 1956. She was raised in Stamford, Connecticut and attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. After graduating from Wesleyan University, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting.

Delany's career began with an appearance on the soap opera As the World Turns, followed by a role in the feature film The Practice. She then moved on to the television series China Beach, which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination and two Emmy Awards. Her television roles continued with Desperate Housewives, where she played the role of Katherine Mayfair. She also starred in the medical drama series Body of Proof, for which she won an Emmy Award.

Delany has also appeared in many feature films, including Tombstone, Fly Away Home, and Exit to Eden. She has also starred in the television movies A Time to Heal and True Women.

In addition to acting, Delany has a passion for producing. She has produced television movies and documentaries, including the award-winning film The Perfect Family.
