Criss Angel

Criss Angel is a world-renowned magician, illusionist, mentalist, and television personality. Born Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos, on December 19, 1967 in East Meadow, New York, Angel is best known for his live show Criss Angel Mindfreak, and his TV series Criss Angel Believe, both of which were produced by Cirque du Soleil.

Angel began his career in the world of magic at the age of seven, when he was granted a magic kit as a gift from his uncle. He quickly developed a passion for the art form, and began performing at local events when he was twelve years old. After graduating from East Meadow High School in 1985, Angel briefly attended the University of New York at Buffalo before leaving to pursue a career as a professional illusionist.

In 2001, Angel's career took off when he starred in his own live show, Criss Angel Mindfreak, at the luxe Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. The show was an enormous success, and was soon moved to the larger Luxor Hotel & Casino, where it ran for a record six continuous years. During this time, Angel also made several television appearances on shows such as Punk'd, Scrubs, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

In 2008, Angel launched his own television series on A&E, called Criss Angel Believe. The show featured Angel performing innovative and death-defying illusions, and won multiple awards, including a Primetime Emmy nomination. The show ran for seven seasons, and featured a variety of guest stars, including rock icon Ozzy Osbourne and singer Rihanna.

In 2011, Angel returned to the stage with his show Criss Angel BeLIEve, which ran at the Luxor Hotel & Casino until 2016. The show featured Angel performing a variety of illusions, including levitation and telepathy, as well as his trademark levitating water tank illusion.

In addition to his stage and television career, Angel has also written a book, a graphic novel series, and created a line of magic supplies. He was also the subject of a feature-length documentary, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, which was released in 2010.

Today, Angel is considered one of the world's greatest magicians, and is widely renowned for his innovative illusions and showmanship. His career has been marked by numerous awards and accolades, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Magic
