Corey Velazquez is an American actor, singer, and dancer from Austin, Texas. He is best known for his roles in the television series “Glee” and “American Horror Story.”
Velazquez began his career performing in musical theater in his hometown of Austin as a child. At age 11, he was cast in his first professional musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He went on to perform in several more local musicals including “The Music Man,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” and “The King and I.”
Velazquez moved to Los Angeles in 2017, when he was cast in the television series “Glee.” He played the role of Artie Abrams, a wheelchair-bound student at William McKinley High School. His performance earned him a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Television Series – Leading Young Actor.
In 2018, Velazquez was cast in “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” as the character of Elias. His performance earned him a second Young Artist Award nomination, this time for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actor.
