Comfort Dassin is an American actress and director who is best known for her roles in films such as The Big Lebowski, The Player, and The Family Man. She has also directed a number of television shows, including the HBO series The Wire and the ABC series Good Behavior.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1968, Comfort Dassin was raised in a close-knit family. She was the middle child, with an older brother and a younger sister. From a young age, she was interested in the performing arts, and she took part in school plays and musicals.

After graduating high school, Dassin attended the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied acting. After graduating in 1991, she began her career in film and television. Her first big break came in 1994, when she was cast as a supporting character in the Coen brothers’ cult classic The Big Lebowski.
