Collette White is a well-known American actress, best known for her roles in the hit films “The Breakfast Club,” “Pretty in Pink,” and “Sixteen Candles.”

White was born on August 17, 1961 in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in a family of modest means, with her father working as a welder and her mother a housewife. As a child, she was always interested in the performing arts, taking dance classes and acting in school plays.

At the age of 18, White moved to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She quickly began to make a name for herself, appearing in small roles on television shows and in low-budget films.

In 1984, White was cast in “The Breakfast Club,” a coming-of-age classic directed by John Hughes. She starred alongside Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, and Judd Nelson in the movie, playing the role of Allison Reynolds. White’s performance was critically acclaimed, and she went on to appear in two more Hughes films, “Pretty in Pink” and “Sixteen Candles.”

White continued to work steadily in film and television throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Some of her credits include “Cocoon: The Return,” “The Money Pit,” “The Blob,” “The Addams Family,” and “The West Wing.”

White is also an accomplished stage actress, having appeared in several productions on Broadway and in regional theaters. Her credits include “The Crucible,” “A View from the Bridge,” “The Heiress,” and “The Glass Menagerie.”

In addition to her work as an actress, White is also a successful author. She has published two books, “The Fixer” and “The Burden of Truth.”

White currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children. She continues to act and write, and is an active philanthropist, supporting numerous charities and causes.
