BIO

Claudio Fragasso is an Italian screenwriter, producer, and director. He is best known for his work in horror films such as Troll 2 and Zombie 4: After Death.

Fragasso was born in Rome, Italy in 1951. He began his career in the 1970s as a screenwriter, writing for films such as the 1977 crime drama The Big Racket and the 1979 comedy-drama La Vita e' Bella. In the 1980s, he worked as a producer on films such as the horror film Beyond Darkness, and the action-adventure film The New Barbarians, both released in 1980.

In the 1990s, Fragasso made his directorial debut with the 1990 horror film Monster Shark. He then went on to direct the 1992 horror comedy Troll 2, which has become a cult classic. He also directed the 1996 horror film Zombie 4: After Death and the 1998 science fiction horror film The Other Hell.

Fragasso continued to work as a screenwriter and producer throughout the 2000s. He wrote and produced the 2006 horror film Ghosthouse and the 2010 horror film Monster Shark Returns. He also wrote and directed the 2012 horror comedy Killing Birds: The Movie.

In addition to his work in film, Fragasso has also written and directed several plays, including the 2003 play La Strage di Prometeo, which was performed at the Teatro di Roma. He has also written a novel, La Notte dei Demoni, which was published in 2004.

Fragasso is currently working on a new horror film, The Curse of the Iron Mask. He is also developing a new television series, L'Inferno dei Vampiri.

Fragasso's body of work has earned him a reputation as one of the top horror filmmakers in Italy, and his films continue to be widely appreciated by fans of the genre.
