Cláudia Raia is a Brazilian actress, dancer, and singer. She is best known for her roles in television series such as Esmeralda, Celebridade, and her current lead role in the Brazilian version of the musical Hair.

Raia was born in São Paulo, Brazil on December 20th, 1963. She developed an interest in performing at a young age, and began her career as a dancer when she was twelve. She started performing professionally as a dancer in musicals such as The Wizard of Oz and Grease.

In the mid-1980s, Raia transitioned into acting. She had her first major role in the television series Esmeralda, which ran for five years. She then starred in the telenovela Celebridade, which ran for two years and was a major hit in Brazil.

In 2003, Raia was cast in the Brazilian version of the musical Hair. She played the lead role and received critical acclaim for her performance. She went on to star in other successful musicals such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Producers.
