BIO

Christopher Spencer is an award winning director known for his creative and innovative production techniques. He has directed feature films, television series, and documentaries.

Born in Los Angeles, California in 1968, Spencer began his career as a film editor in the late 1980s. After working on music videos and commercials, he wrote and directed the short film “The Death of Donnie” in 1992. The film won the Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival and put Spencer on the map as an up and coming talent.

He went on to direct several features including “Escape from L.A.” (1996), “The Longest Yard” (2005), “The Cabin in the Woods” (2012), and “The Hunt” (2020). Spencer also directed the award-winning television series “24” (2001-2010). His documentary work includes “The Fog of War” (2003) and “The Night of the Living Dead” (2008).

In addition to his film and television work, Spencer has directed music videos for artists such as U2, The Killers, and Lady Gaga. He has also collaborated with musicians such as Nine Inch Nails, Moby, and Janet Jackson.
