BIO

Christian Hallman is a Swedish film director and screenwriter. He was born in Stockholm in 1976 and grew up in the suburb of Bromma. He began his career in the advertising industry, working as a creative director for various agencies. After several years in the industry, he decided to pursue his true passion and turned to filmmaking.

Hallman’s first film, “The Kite”, was released in 2006. It was a coming-of-age drama that was well-received in Sweden and abroad. It won several awards, including the Nordic Council Film Prize.

In 2008, Hallman released his second film, “The Swimming Pool”, which was based on the novel by Jonas Gardell.
