Chris Everard is a British film director, writer and producer who has been making films since the early 1990s. He is known for his unique visual style and has been described as “one of the most original and daring British film directors of the 21st century”.

Everard was born in London, England and grew up in a creative family. His father was an actor and his mother a painter. He attended the University of Westminster where he studied film and television production. After graduating, he worked for a number of production companies before setting up his own production company in 1997.

Everard’s first feature film was the critically acclaimed ‘The Filth’ (1998). The film was well received and won several awards including the Grand Prize at the Brussels International Film Festival. His second feature, ‘The Triangle’ (2001), was also acclaimed and was nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2002.

Everard then moved on to directing documentaries. His first documentary, ‘Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room’, was nominated for an Academy Award in 2006. He also directed ‘The Secret Machines’ (2007) which was nominated for the Grand Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
