Chris Beck is an American actor, best known for his roles in films such as ‘The Best Man Holiday’ (2013), ‘Against the Sun’ (2014), and ‘The Wait’ (2015). He was born in Los Angeles, California in 1988.

Beck began acting in high school, where he was cast in several plays and musicals. He went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, California, where he graduated with a degree in acting. After graduating, he began his professional career by appearing in various television shows, commercials, and films.

Beck made his big-screen debut in the film ‘The Best Man Holiday’, in which he played the role of a college student who returns home to celebrate the holidays with his family. He then starred in the drama ‘Against the Sun’, which tells the story of three US Navy airmen who become stranded in the south Pacific during WWII.

In 2015, he starred in the indie drama ‘The Wait’, which follows the story of two sisters who reunite after one of them returns home from abroad. This role earned him critical acclaim and a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Independent Spirit Awards.

Beck has also appeared in a number of short films, including ‘The Return’, which won the Audience Award at the 2016 Los Angeles Film Festival. He has also starred in the television series ‘The Strain’, and is currently filming the upcoming drama ‘The First’ for Hulu.

Beck has a passion for giving back to his community, and is a mentor for a youth theater program in Los Angeles. He is also an avid traveler, and recently returned from a trip to South America, exploring the culture and beauty of the region.
