Chie Ohno is a Japanese actress and musician known for her work in films, television, and theatre.

Born in Osaka, Japan on July 21, 1982, Chie Ohno graduated from the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo. After her studies, Ohno began her career as a professional actress, performing in a number of stage and television roles.

In 2009, Ohno made her film debut in the Japanese drama, “A Little Bird Told Me”, which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 2010 Japanese Academy Awards. She followed this success with her portrayal of a young woman with a troubled past in the drama, “My Back Pages”, for which she won the Best Actress award at the 2010 Tokyo International Film Festival.

In 2011, Ohno starred in the film, “Kokoro”, a romantic comedy which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the Japan Academy Awards. She also starred in the television series, “Aoi Tori”, for which she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2012 Tokyo International Film Festival.

In addition to her acting career, Ohno is also a musician. She has released several albums, including “Let’s Love” in 2011, and “Another Day” in 2013. Her music has been featured in many of her films, television shows, and stage performances.

In 2014, Ohno starred in the film, “The Day I Lost My Shadow”, which earned her a Best Actress nomination at the Asian Film Awards. She also starred in the television drama, “The School of Life”, for which she won the Best Actress award at the 2015 Tokyo International Film Festival.
