Chen Kun (born February 4, 1976) is a Chinese actor, singer, and producer. He is considered one of the “Four Kings of Chinese Cinema”, alongside Huang Xiaoming, Zhang Ziyi, and Wu Jing.
Chen Kun was born in Heilongjiang, China. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 1997 and began his career as a theater actor. He made his film debut in the 1999 drama “The Sealed Door”.
Chen Kun went on to star in a variety of films and television series, including the 2004 romantic comedy “My Sassy Girl”, the 2006 epic fantasy “The Banquet”, and the 2007 historical drama “Curse of the Golden Flower”. In 2009, he won Best Actor at the Shanghai International Film Festival for his performance in “The Founding of a Republic”.
