Cécile Dumas is an acclaimed French film director, screenwriter, and producer. She is best known for her award-winning films, including the critically acclaimed drama, La Vie Passée (The Past Life).

Born in Paris in 1972, Cécile began her film career while still a student at the prestigious La Fémis film school. She quickly became known for her distinctive visual storytelling style and her ability to capture strong emotion in her work.

In 2001, Cécile made her feature film debut with La Vie Passée, an intimate drama about a young woman struggling to come to terms with her own past. The film won numerous awards, including the César for Best First Feature Film.
