Cathy Crowfoot is an English actress best known for her roles in the BBC television dramas, The Bill and EastEnders. She was born in Birmingham, England in 1966 and was raised in the city. She attended drama school at the University of Birmingham and then went on to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Crowfoot's career began in theatre, where she starred in a number of productions including Oliver at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. She then went on to make her television debut in the BBC drama, The Bill. She played the role of PC Jackie Denton for two years between 1989 and 1991. Her performance was praised by critics and she won a BAFTA for Best Actress in a Drama Series in 1991.

Crowfoot then moved to EastEnders, where she played the role of Wendy Boswell for three years between 1995 and 1998. Her character was a feisty and independent single mother who often clashed with her more traditional family. Crowfoot's performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the British Soap Awards in 1997.

Crowfoot has also had roles in a number of other television dramas, including Wycliffe, Casualty, Peak Practice, Holby City and Doctors. She also had a recurring role in the ITV drama, Inspector Morse.

In addition to her acting career, Crowfoot has been involved in various charitable causes. She has been a patron of the charity, Diabetes UK, since 1997. She has also served as an ambassador for the British Red Cross and has been a member of the Samaritans since 2000.
