Carol Hoffman is an American actress who is best known for her roles in projects such as the television series House of Cards, the films The Fault in Our Stars and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the stage production of Into the Woods.

Hoffman was born on October 22, 1975, in New York City. She was raised in the city and attended the prestigious Professional Performing Arts School, where she began to hone her acting skills. After graduating, Carol attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a degree in theatre.

Hoffman began her professional acting career in 2000, appearing in an Off-Broadway production of Twelfth Night. She then went on to appear in numerous television series, including Law & Order, CSI: Miami, The Mentalist, and House of Cards. She also had small roles in films such as The Fault in Our Stars and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
