Carol Cleveland is one of the most celebrated British actresses in the world. She is best known for her roles in the Monty Python films and television series, where she was known as the “Seventh Python”. She was born on November 14, 1942, in Kent, England.

At the age of 17, Carol moved to London to pursue a career in acting. She landed her first role in the movie The Magnificent Six and a Half in 1964, and from then on she worked consistently in film and television. She appeared in many British comedies, including The Benny Hill Show, The Avengers, and The Morecambe and Wise Show.

In 1969, Carol was cast in Monty Python’s Flying Circus as a regular performer. She appeared in all forty-five episodes throughout the show’s run. She was the only woman in the cast, and as such, she was often referred to as the “Seventh Python”. Her most memorable role was as the “Loud-mouthed Woman” in the sketch “Four Yorkshiremen”.

Carol also appeared in the Monty Python films, such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Life of Brian, and Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life. She was also a regular performer on Saturday Night Live during the 1976-77 season.

In the years since, Carol has continued to act in television and film. She had a recurring role in the TV series Absolutely Fabulous and appeared in the film Shaun of the Dead. She has also been involved in voice work for video games, including Grand Theft Auto and the Harry Potter series.

Aside from her acting career, Carol is also an accomplished author. She wrote the book Carol Cleveland’s Pythons: The Story of the Making of the Monty Python Movies in 2014, which was a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Monty Python films.
