Carmine Amoroso is an Italian director, screenwriter, and producer. Born in Naples, Italy in 1971, Amoroso developed a passion for film at an early age. He was heavily influenced by the works of legendary Italian filmmakers such as Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni, as well as the works of American directors like Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese.

Amoroso began his career in the film industry as a screenwriter, writing several feature films and television shows. His first major success was the screenplay for the acclaimed 2000 drama Scappo dalla Città (Escape from the City). The film received numerous awards and accolades, and was praised for its realistic depiction of life in Naples.

In 2001, Amoroso made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Una Donna Per Amica (A Woman for a Friend). The film was a success, and was followed by two other successful films, Il Giorno della Verità (The Day of Truth) and Abbiamo Vinto (We Have Won).

In 2008, Amoroso wrote and directed his first international feature film, La Vita Che Vorrei (The Life I Want). The film was a critical and commercial hit, and was nominated for several awards.
