Carlo Campbell is an American actor, best known for his roles in the television series, The Good Place and Dear White People. He was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Los Angeles, California.

Campbell developed an interest in acting at an early age and began performing in school and community theater productions. He attended the University of Southern California, where he earned a degree in theater. During his time there, he also worked as an intern at the renowned Tony Award-winning theater company, The Geffen Playhouse.

After college, Campbell continued to pursue his acting career. He landed roles in several independent films and short films, and began to make appearances on television. He had guest-starring roles on shows such as The Game, The Neighbors, and Major Crimes.

In 2017, Campbell scored his biggest role yet when he was cast as the character of Chidi Anagonye in the hit NBC comedy series, The Good Place. The show follows a group of people who are sent to a strange and confusing afterlife known as “The Good Place” and Chidi is the moral compass of the group. Campbell’s performance was praised by critics and fans alike, and he was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2018.

Since then, Campbell has continued to appear in television shows such as Dear White People and The Magicians. He also had a recurring role on the hit Fox show, The Resident.

Campbell is also a passionate advocate for social justice and has been a vocal supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. Outside of acting, he is an avid reader and a proud cat dad.

In addition to his acting career, Campbell is also an accomplished musician. He plays the guitar and piano and has released several original songs. He is currently working on an album.
