Caridad Canelón (born June 30, 1962) is a Venezuelan actress and television host. She is best known for her roles in telenovelas like La Viuda de Blanco, El Zorro, La Espada y la Rosa and Pasión de Gavilanes.
Canelón was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She started her career as a model, doing campaigns for local brands and appearing in magazines such as Caras, Aire, and Venevision. In 1989, she made her television debut in the telenovela Amor de papel.
In 1993, Canelón starred in the telenovela La Viuda de Blanco, which was her breakout role. She played the role of the protagonist, María, who was a widow after her husband was killed in a plane crash. The telenovela was a huge success and propelled her to fame in Venezuela and Latin America.
Canelón followed up her success in La Viuda de Blanco with a lead role in the telenovela El Zorro, where she portrayed the character of Jacinta. She also starred in the telenovela Pasión de Gavilanes, in which she played the role of Luz Marina, a young woman who was abandoned by her parents when she was a baby.
