Caren Hernández is an award-winning Mexican actress who is best known for her roles in the films "Amores Perros", "Y Tu Mamá También", and "Coco". She was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on April 19, 1974.

Caren began her acting career at the age of 15, appearing in the Mexican soap opera "Alcanzar una Estrella II". Her performance in the show earned her a nomination for a TVyNovelas award. She went on to appear in a number of telenovelas, including "Alguien te Mira" and "La Tempestad".

In 2000, Caren made her big-screen debut in the critically acclaimed film "Amores Perros", directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. The film was a commercial and critical success, and Caren's performance earned her a nomination for a Silver Ariel Award. In 2002, she starred in the hit Mexican comedy "Y Tu Mamá También", which was also a commercial and critical success.

In 2017, Caren lent her voice to the character of Mamá Coco in the Disney/Pixar animated film "Coco". The film was a huge success, grossing over $807 million worldwide and winning two Academy Awards. Caren's performance in the film earned her a nomination for a Mexican Academy of Film Award.

Caren has also appeared in numerous television series, including "Los Simuladores", "Un Refugio para el Amor", and "La Rosa de Guadalupe". She also appeared in the films "La Casa de al Lado" and "No Se Aceptan Devoluciones".
