Callum Powell is a British actor best known for his roles in the TV series BBC's 'The Last Kingdom' and the feature film 'The White Crow'.

Born in in Scotland, Callum has had a passion for the performing arts since a young age. His first role was at the age of 10 when he starred in an Edinburgh production of 'The Matchmaker' at the Royal Lyceum Theatre. This launched his career in the theatre world, and he went on to appear in many other productions, such as 'Measure for Measure' at the Glasgow Citizens Theatre and 'Macbeth' at the Royal Lyceum Theatre.

In 2015, Callum made his television debut in the BBC's 'The Last Kingdom', playing the character Uhtred. He went on to appear in other TV shows, such as 'Law & Order: UK', 'Endeavour' and 'Ripper Street'.

In 2018, he starred in the feature film 'The White Crow'. Directed by Ralph Fiennes, the film follows the story of the Soviet ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev and his escape from the Soviet Union. Callum played the role of Nureyev's assistant and friend, Alexander Pushkin, and was praised for his performance.

In 2020, Callum appeared in the Netflix series 'The Queen's Gambit'. In the show, he plays the character of Harry Beltik, a chess player who takes part in the US Championship.

Callum is currently appearing in the TV series 'The Nevers' as the character Hugo Swan. The show follows a group of Victorian era women who develop extraordinary abilities.
