BIO

Bryn Pryor is an award-winning director and writer. He is an experienced filmmaker who has worked in the industry for over 20 years. He is best known for his work on the feature films The Cohn Effect, X-Rated: The Greatest Adult Movies of All Time, and Sex Doll.

Pryor was born in Boulder, Colorado in 1970. He began making films in high school with a Super 8 camera and has since made over 50 short films, documentaries, and feature-length projects. He graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in 1994.

Pryor has directed and written a number of award-winning projects, including the feature film The Cohn Effect, which won Best Documentary Feature at the 2008 San Francisco International Film Festival. He has also directed and produced several documentaries, including X-Rated: The Greatest Adult Movies of All Time, which premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival.

Pryor's most recent project is the feature film Sex Doll, which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. Sex Doll stars Hafsia Herzi and Ash Stymest and tells the story of a French sex doll who comes to life and develops a relationship with a lonely young man.

Pryor has also written and directed a number of other short films, including The Pitch, which won Best Narrative Short at the 2004 Aspen Shortsfest. His work has also been featured in the Sundance Film Festival, the Los Angeles Film Festival, the AFI Fest, and the San Francisco International Film Festival.
