BIO

Brian Henry Martin is an award-winning director, producer, and writer of film and television. He is best known for his work on the hit TV series, “American Horror Story” and the feature film, “The Last Word”.

Brian was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the artistic community of Silver Lake. From a young age, he was passionate about creating stories and directing films. He studied film at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. After graduating, he started his career as a screenwriter, writing for the television series “The O.C.” and “Grey’s Anatomy”.

In 2008, Brian made his directorial debut with the feature film, “The Last Word”. The film was well-received and earned him the Best Director award at the Austin Film Festival. He then directed several episodes of hit TV series, such as “Glee”, “American Horror Story”, “Scream Queens”, and “Parenthood”. His work on “American Horror Story” earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special.

In 2017, Brian directed the feature film, “The Glass Castle”, starring Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson, and Naomi Watts. The film was a critical and commercial success and earned him a Critics Choice Award for Best Director. He also wrote and directed the 2018 romantic comedy, “The Week Of”, starring Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.
