Brenda McClure is a Canadian-American actress who has appeared in numerous television shows and films over the past four decades. She is best known for her roles in the hit television series MacGyver (1985–92) and the popular movie The Fly (1986).

McClure was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 29, 1956. She started her career in the late 1970s, appearing in the Canadian television series King of Kensington and The Littlest Hobo. She also appeared in the 1980s cult classic film The Fly, which starred Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. McClure played the role of Veronica Quaife, a journalist investigating the strange life of Seth Brundle (Goldblum).

In 1985, McClure joined the cast of MacGyver, playing the role of Penny Parker, a friend of the main character. She appeared in over fifty episodes of the series over a seven-year period. She also appeared in a number of other television series during the 1980s and 1990s, such as Street Legal, Night Heat, and Gravestone.

McClure also had an extensive career in stage acting, appearing in a number of productions in both Canada and the United States. Her most notable stage performance was in the Broadway production of The Importance of Being Earnest in 1981.

McClure’s film career continued in the 2000s, with roles in films such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002), The Sweetest Thing (2002), and The Whole Ten Yards (2004). In recent years, she has made small appearances in television shows such as The Good Wife (2016) and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2018).

McClure has also been active in the Canadian film and television industry, appearing in projects such as the short film The Woman Who Wasn't There (2011) and the television series Young Drunk Punk (2015).

McClure is currently living in Los Angeles, California. She is still actively working in the film and television industry, appearing in a number of independent films and television series. She is also an active member of the Actors' Equity Association.
