Brad Pitt is an American actor and film producer who has received numerous awards and nominations, including an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. He has been described by critics as one of the world's most attractive men, a label for which he has received substantial media attention.

Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on December 18, 1963. He is the son of William Alvin Pitt, a truck company owner, and Jane Etta, a school counselor. He has two older siblings, Doug and Julie, and an older sister, Julie.

Pitt attended Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri, where he was a member of the golf, swimming and tennis teams. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, where he supported himself by working various odd jobs while studying at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

In 1987, Pitt made his film debut in the low-budget horror movie Cutting Class. The film was a box office success and helped to launch Pitt's career. He went on to appear in such films as Thelma & Louise, A River Runs Through It, Kalifornia, Interview with the Vampire, and Se7en.
