BIO

Brad Quenville is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the films The Blob (1988), The Thing (1982), and The Fly II (1989).

Quenville was born in 1954 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in film studies in 1977. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker.

Quenville's first job in the film industry was as a production assistant on the 1979 film The Warriors. He worked his way up to assistant director and then director for the 1981 film Dead & Buried. This was his first feature-length film and it earned him a nomination for a Saturn Award.

He then went on to direct the 1982 cult classic The Thing. It was a critical and commercial success and established Quenville as a master of horror. He followed this up with the 1988 film The Blob, another horror classic.

Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Quenville continued to direct and produce a variety of films. He worked on a number of studio films, including the remake of The Fly II (1989) and the action film Red Planet (2000). He also wrote and directed the sci-fi horror film The Puppet Masters (1994) and the psychological thriller The Cell (2000).

In recent years, Quenville has worked primarily as a producer for television and film projects. His television credits include the series The Beast (2009) and the miniseries The River (2012). He also produced the horror films The Last Exorcism Part II (2013) and Hush (2016).
