Bonnie Werchan is an American actress best known for her roles in the films “Aquamarine” and “The Stepford Wives”. Born in Minneapolis on October 30, 1985, Werchan always had a passion for the performing arts. At age 8, she began studying acting at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and continued her training at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

In 2002, Werchan got her big break in the film “Aquamarine”, playing the role of a young girl. She then went on to appear in the TV series “The Stepford Wives”, playing the daughter of Nicole Kidman’s character. Following this success, she starred in the films “The Wild” and “The Great Raid”, and was featured in many music videos and commercials.

In 2009, Werchan made her Broadway debut in the musical “Hairspray”, playing the role of Penny Pingleton. The show was a huge success, winning eight Tony Awards. Werchan’s performance was particularly praised, and she even received a nomination for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical.

Since then, Werchan has continued to work in both film and theater, appearing in “The Switch”, “The Dilemma”, “New Year’s Eve”, and “Nurse Jackie”. She has also been seen in the Off-Broadway show “The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!)” and the Broadway production “Follies”. Her most recent appearance was in the 2019 movie “White Boy Rick”, in which she played the mother of the main character.

When not performing, Werchan enjoys many hobbies, such as writing, painting, and playing the piano. She is also very passionate about animal rights, and has been involved with various animal rescue organizations. She is married and currently resides in New York City.
