William Henry Taylor, Jr. (better known as Bill Taylor) was born on July 10, 1915 in Waco, Texas. He was an American actor, singer, and dancer, best known for his roles in the films The Long, Long Trailer (1954), Kiss Me Deadly (1955) and The Man with the Golden Arm (1955).

Taylor began his career performing in local musical theater productions in his hometown of Waco. He was eventually discovered by MGM and signed to a contract in 1949.

He quickly rose to fame, appearing in a number of major motion pictures. His breakout role was in the 1954 comedy The Long, Long Trailer, starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The film was a box office hit and Taylor received positive reviews for his performance.

He followed this up with a number of other notable roles, including in The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), opposite Frank Sinatra, and Kiss Me Deadly (1955), opposite Ralph Meeker.

In addition to acting, Taylor was also an accomplished singer and dancer. He performed in a number of musicals, including the stage musicals Kiss Me Kate and South Pacific. He also recorded several albums, including an album of country music.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Taylor continued to act in both film and television. His last role was in the television movie Don't Go to Sleep (1982).

Taylor passed away on November 8, 1988, at the age of 73 in Los Angeles, California. He was survived by his wife, two daughters, and a son.

Taylor was an incredibly talented performer, whose career spanned decades. He was beloved by audiences and his peers alike. His legacy will live on in his many beloved performances.
