Bill Stephney is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for roles in films such as "Election" (1999) and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2000). He was born in Los Angeles, California on June 8, 1962 and raised in the city's Eastside.

Stephney began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing in clubs throughout the Los Angeles area. He found success as a writer, penning episodes of shows such as "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "In Living Color." He also wrote for the popular sketch comedy show "Mad TV," and in 1999 he wrote the screenplay for the film "Election," which was nominated for an Academy Award.

In 2000, Stephney began appearing in television and film roles. He had a recurring role on the hit HBO show "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as the character "Teddy," and he also appeared in the films "The Replacements" (2000) and "The Master of Disguise" (2002).
