Bill Pearl (born William George Pearl, August 31, 1930) is an American bodybuilder, actor, author, and coach. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential bodybuilders of the 20th century.

Pearl was born in the small town of Eureka, California. His parents, both of whom were immigrants, ran a small dairy farm. He started lifting weights at the age of 16 and began competing in bodybuilding competitions in the 1950s.

In 1953, Pearl won the AAU Mr. America title and went on to become the first man to win the title four times. He also became the first man to win the IFBB Mr. Universe title five times.

Pearl has written several books, including "The Keys to the Inner Universe," "Getting Started in Bodybuilding," and "Getting Stronger." He also wrote a book about nutrition and fitness titled "The Way to Live and Look Good."

In addition to his bodybuilding career, Pearl has had a successful acting career, appearing in films such as "Pumping Iron," "Conan the Barbarian," and "Predator." He also appeared in the television series "American Gladiators," and hosted the television show "The Superstars."

Pearl continues to be an inspiration to bodybuilders and athletes around the world. He has been inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame, the International Sports Hall of Fame, and the Muscle Beach Hall of Fame.
