William Adler is an American actor, producer, and director. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Goonies, American Pie, and The Lost Boys. His career began in 1984 when he appeared in an episode of the television show Punky Brewster. Since then, he has appeared in numerous television shows and films, including The X-Files, ER, Law & Order, and The West Wing.

Adler was born in New York City in 1961. He attended the University of Michigan, where he studied theater and began his acting career. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. He appeared in a number of plays and television shows, and in 1985 he had a recurring role on the television show The Facts of Life.

Adler continued to appear in television shows and films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He had a starring role in the film The Goonies and played a supporting role in the cult classic American Pie. He also appeared in a number of television movies, including The Lost Boys and The Princess Diaries.
