Betsy Brandt is an American actress best known for her roles in the television series Breaking Bad and Life in Pieces. Born in Bay City, Michigan, Brandt grew up in a large family of eight children with her father, a surveyor, and her mother, a nurse.

Brandt attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. Following college, Brandt moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She quickly got her first break when she was cast as the lead in the short film The Perfect Girl.

Brandt's big break came in 2008 when she was cast as Marie Schrader in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad. She starred alongside Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in the critically acclaimed series, which ran for five seasons. Her performance as Marie earned her a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013.

Following Breaking Bad, Brandt starred in NBC's short-lived comedy series Welcome to the Family in 2013. She then went on to join the cast of the CBS comedy series Life in Pieces in 2015, playing Heather Hughes-Borden, the wife of Colin Hanks' character. Brandt has also had roles in films such as The Rocker and The To Do List.

In addition to her acting career, Brandt is also an advocate for Autism Speaks. She has been a board member since 2014, and she has participated in numerous events to raise money and awareness for the organization.

Brandt is married to fellow actor Grady Olsen, and the couple has two children. She continues to act in both television and film, and she is passionate about using her platform to bring attention to causes she supports.
