Aurora Cortez is a Mexican-American actress, best known for her roles in films such as ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ and ‘The Mask of Zorro’. Born in El Paso, Texas, she is the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Her father worked in a local factory and her mother was a homemaker.

At an early age, Aurora showed a natural talent for acting. She was always the center of attention in her grade school performances and even won a local acting competition when she was in high school. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
