Artur Kowalewski is a Polish-born director, writer and producer who has worked on several highly acclaimed television and film projects. He is best known for his work on the television series "Babylon Berlin" and the feature films "The Hereafter" and "The Atoner".

Kowalewski was born in Poland in 1973 and grew up in a small town in the south. His parents were both teachers, and his early years were filled with books and art. He went on to study film at the renowned Lodz Film School in Poland.

Kowalewski began his career in television, working on several series and films including the highly acclaimed "Komisja Milczenia", "Wybuch" and "Dziewczyna" for Polish television. After gaining experience, he moved to Germany and began working on international projects.

He is best known for his work on the German television series "Babylon Berlin" (2013-2016). He wrote and directed several episodes, and was executive producer for the entire run. The series received widespread critical acclaim and won multiple awards.
